There are so many things that I loved about Dianne and Blake’s wedding day! First off, Dianne’s smile and laughter is ABSOLUTELY CONTAGIOUS! She is absolutely stunningly beautiful and Blake is one lucky fellow!I seriously could shoot them all day long! Secondly, Blake and his groomsmen were a BLAST! I absolutely adored their style and they were always up for doing fun and silly things! I have to say that a couple of them missed their calling as cheerleaders because they had some pretty impressive jumps! And how fun is it to do groomsmen pictures on top of a parking deck?! Dianne and Blake were married at All Saints Chapel with their reception following at Stockroom at 230. Brides and Bouquets did a GORGEOUS job on flowers and Nicole from Premiere Party Planners did an amazing job of keeping the day running smoothly! Wait until you see the tandem bicycle that Blake restored for them to ride away on at the end of the night! SO FUN! Wish we could do it again!
P.S. Dave and I were super excited to find out that Blake is a super talented photographer himself and he grabbed a shot of both Dave and I doing our traditional wedding wobble!Blake, you are hired!!
I adore these two… seriously ADORE! They are so incredibly sweet and sincere that they make you feel like they are a part of their family. Working with people like Lane and Alex is what makes us feel very, very lucky to do what we do! Lane and Alex had a beautiful winter wedding in Williamston last December. I wish I could shoot them every season of every year! Hopefully we will be getting together sometime this spring to do a “day after session” since the rain kept us indoors for portraits! Can’t wait to shoot them again soon!
If I had to think of one word to describe Brittany + Tyler’s wedding day, it would be tribute. It was a beautiful tribute to not only their own relationship, but their relationships with their large group of friends, there were tributes to their adorable bulldog Kingsley, and a tribute to Brittany’s mother who passed away when she was younger. Brittany had her mother’s wedding bouquet “re-created” for her own bouquet, wore her mother’s barrette under her veil, and left her mother her mother’s corsage where her ashes are kept at Duke Chapel. She really was present in every part of the day and I know that she would have been so proud of Brittany on her wedding day! Brittany was absolutely stunning and I have never seen a couple whose whole day was completely filled with JOY! You could see it all over their faces! Their reception at La Residence was a BLAST and it was so much fun to see Brittany and Tyler reunited with all of their college pals!

Dave and I had the pleasure of photographing Laura + Weston’s wedding last fall at the beautiful WinMock at Kinderton. Because the wedding day was after Daylight Savings, the ceremony was scheduled to begin after sunset. Laura + Weston wanted to see one another for the first time when Laura was walking down the aisle so we brainstormed a way to do a “First Touch” before the ceremony so we could get some pictures in the sunshine, without ever having to see one another! It turned out so beautiful and I was thrilled that we were able to get some portraits during the day as well as nighttime portraits following the ceremony. The day was so filled with emotion that it was a real joy to photograph! Here are some of our favorites!
