North Dakota {Part Two}

Finally made it to North Dakota after a exciting day of flying with a 10 month old. When we landed in Minot, North Dakota, which has two terminals by the way, Dave says to me, “Wow! There really isn’t much here, huh?”  To this I responded, “You haven’t seen anything yet!”. We had a 2-3 hour drive to Lake Upsilon which is where we were staying so we got to see lots of land on the way. Even though there is not much to see as far as towns or cities, North Dakota has very beautiful farm lands and the most AMAZING skies. The blue skies and clouds seem to go on for days and you just don’t see skies like that in North Carolina. The day after we arrived, we went to Rock Lake which is the small town that my mom grew up in. We went to see where her childhood home used to be and had to get some wheat pictures of course while we were there.

This is my cousin Ryan’s children, Emma and Jake. You couldn’t get more well behaved children… and funny too!!

This is my mom (far left) with her two sisters and all of their husbands. Can you tell they are sisters?!

The beautiful clouds I was talking about…

Some pictures of the town of Rock Lake. It only has one paved road in town, the rest are gravel. You didn’t see too many people walking around anymore.

This cracked me up! The address was 33 1/2 Main Street!

A few of Emma modeling for me at their house…

And finally I can’t resist one more of my favorite boys…

Still more to come…
