Jennifer is a good friend and co-worker of mine at my “real job”. She and Justin recently got engaged a couple of months ago and I was so pleased when they agreed to let me shoot their engagement portraits for them as my wedding gift to them. They will be getting married at Meredith Labor Day weekend of 2010. Jenn and Justin are such a fun couple to be around! They kept me laughing the whole shoot with their playful bickering and I told them that they already have the whole “old married couple” thing down pat already! We had a marathon shoot as we jumped from location to location. We got a lot of great shots… but how could we not with such an attractive couple right? We started out at Bass Lake Draft House where Justin tends bar to get some pictures of them hanging out where they spent a good portion of their courtship with Jenn coming up to the bar for dinner while Justin worked…
We also went to Fuquay-Varina for some shots. Justin was so funny! When we got to the train, he wanted to have a plan before we got out of the car so that we could jump out of the car… grab the shot… and then get out of there. Then when we were at the brick loading dock… we risked our lives to get the shots by avoiding some pretty sketchy items that were littered on the ground. I think that Justin questioned my vision on some of the shots, but I hope he is pleased with how there turned out. Thanks for being a trooper Justin!
Then we finally finished up at Bass Lake in Holly Springs. Jennifer and Justin really could be models couldn’t they? The camera loves them!
Jennifer and Justin were nice enough to indulge me for a few minutes to try this next shot. I have seen it done before but have been dying to try it. I think it is so much fun! I love the motion of the photograph as if you can see them doing the slow motion movie run towards one another in the image.
Thank you Jennifer and Justin for trusting me with your engagement pictures! 🙂 I had A LOT of fun!
