Jennifer + Phillipe | Nagshead, NC Wedding Photography

Back in June, I had the honor of being able to second shoot for Rachel of Millie Holloman Photography. I have followed Millie’s work for a number of years, even from back in the days when her business had a different name. When Dave and I got engaged and decided that we were going to have a destination wedding, and found out we were going to be stuck with the resort photographer, I knew that I wanted to have amazing engagement pictures taken before we left. We hired Millie to shoot our engagement pictures and I really believe that that experience was the catalyst for my passion for photography. When I got my first DSLR camera right after we were married, my goal was to one day be able to second shoot for Millie Holloman Photography. Fast forward a few years, and my day came and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was when I learned that I was going to  have my opportunity to second shoot with Rachel Barker, one of Millie’s associate photographers.

I accompanied Rachel to Nagshead, NC for Jennifer and Phillipe’s wedding. It was so much fun to have a weekend in the Outerbanks  of  North Carolina to capture this adorable, young couple. Their families were so much fun and so great to work with the entire day. Millie was gracious enough to allow me to share some of the pictures that I shot on that day. It truly was a beautiful wedding!

Jennifer and Phillipe had a traditional Catholic ceremony so everyone was invited to join in communion during the service. These are a couple of the shots I grabbed while communion was going on… aren’t Jennifer and Phillipe too sweet?!

LOVED this bridal party! They were so much fun and were up for anything that Rachel asked them to do! I was so stinkin’ excited after I took this shot and realized that I got the birds too! Couldn’t have planned it better if I had tried!
