Hannah and Luke are seriously both cute as a button! Although they make me feel totally old how young and cute they look, I still love how adorable they are!! Haha! I spent the first portion of our engagement session trying to figure out who Luke reminded me of. I looked at him and looked at him and felt like I have seen his facial structure and mannerisms before and then suddenly it hit me! He is a TOTAL young, Brad Pitt! When I told them that I saw that resemblance, Luke informed me that he has been told that over and over again! I met Luke, Hannah and their mother’s out at Luke’s grandmother’s farmland in Selma, NC. Luke has fond memories of visiting his late grandmother at this house and land so it was very special to document this new phase of his life in the same spot that those childhood memories were made. We had the STRANGEST weather while we were shooting the session! During the middle of our session, the sky started to quickly get SUPER dark and luckily, we were near an overhang on a nearby building when the sky fell out. It poured sideways for probably a good 20-30 minutes and the wind was blowing branches all over the place. I was secretly nervous that the ominous sky looked kind of like tornado weather. When the rain stopped, we ventured back out and the sky was the strangest pinkish-brown color and a double rainbow appeared. The second one was super faint so it didn’t show up well in pictures, but it was awesome all the same! I can’t wait to work with Hannah and Luke again in October when they get married at the beautiful Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina! The Highgrove is hands down one of my very favorite places to shoot!
