I think that a lot of people would say that Holly and Carson’s wedding day was a long time coming as Holly and Carson have been together for over 13 years since they met in their 9th grade Theater Arts class! I think that people would also say that the wedding between these two high school sweethearts was WELL worth the wait! Holly and Carson were married in May at Jones Chapel at Meredith College. Their ceremony was filled with close family and friends and featured the stunningly beautiful piano music played by Holly’s brother. One of my very favorite moments of the ceremony was when the violinist was playing an instrumental version of The Turtle’s “So Happy Together” during the recessional and all of the guests in the wedding all started singing out loud as the bridal party exited the chapel. It was a moment that movies are made of! Holly and Carson’s reception was the very first reception that was held in the new Nature Research Center at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh, NC. It was such a cool and very different backdrop for a wedding reception! There was delicious food provided by Xu Catering and rocking reception music provided by none other than Ken Holmes of Joe Bun DJ’s. The dancing portion of the night was slightly abbreviated, but Ken knows how to get people fired up on the dance floor in quick fashion and a security officer finally had to break up the crowd at the end of the night! It was a party to remember! 🙂
I love the moment when a Dad sees his little girl in her dress for the first time! 🙂 Holly and Carson were SOOO cute and stood up from their meals to share a quiet dance while their guests dined. I am not quite sure what was going on here…. but I get a good belly laugh each and every time I see this next picture! Haha!
This was one of the most epic cake smashes EVER! I have a theory about those who smash cake in one another’s faces are bound to have a long and happy marriage! 🙂
Holly + Carson, it was an honor to document the beginning of your lives together even though you truly began so long ago! We with you both a lifetime of happiness together! 🙂
