Ashley + Joseph are probably two of the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet! Not to mention, they are a whole lot of fun! Ashley and I actually met a number of years ago at an adoptions training when I was still doing social work. She and Joseph were dating at the time and I remember us talking about our budding photography business and jokingly talking about maybe I will photograph their wedding one day! Years later, we got that opportunity! 🙂 It was a gorgeous spring day that was filled with so many sweet emotion filled moments that I found myself tearing up at multiple points during the day. The look of pure emotional joy that was on Joseph’s face when he saw Ashley for the first time during their first look could have melted the coldest of souls! And don’t even get me started about Ashley’s face when she was walking down the aisle towards Joseph! SO SWEET!! Here are a “few” of our favorites from their beautiful day!
Ashley’s dress was actually originally worn by her grandmother and it has since been worn by four other women in her family. Every woman who has worn it, has found a way to alter it slightly to make it “her own”. How cool is that?! Instead of the guy who caught the bouquet putting the garter on the leg of the gal who caught the bouquet, they switched it up a bit and had the gal who caught the bouquet put the garter on the leg of the guy who caught the garter. The trick was that they told her that she had to do it blindfolded. They then pulled the big switcheroo on her after she put the blindfold on! Her reaction to seeing the new leg in front of her was priceless! 🙂 I’m not exactly sure what was happening in this next picture, but it makes me laugh every time I see it! Ashley and Joseph were hugging their friends and family goodbye during the last dance and while everyone is busy saying their goodbyes, one of their friends looks to be enjoying a modern, interpretive dance in the center of the dance floor! I love finding little nuggets like these in wedding images! 🙂
It was such an amazing day and we were so very grateful to be a part of it! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
