There are a number of things that I loved about Sarah + Tom’s wedding:
1: Tom requested a soul train line while we were doing the groomsmen photos. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!? And seriously people, Tom can GET DOWN!! And his dance faces are all business!! 🙂
2: I got to take photos of the ceremony! This seems like a no brainer but we got word from the church lady a week or so before the wedding that we were not allowed to take any photos if our cameras “clicked”. Well as you know, all cameras with a shutter will click to some extent so I was REALLY afraid that Sarah and Tom were not going to have any pictures of their ceremony. Fortunately, my main camera body has a “silent shutter function” which is really more like a “quiet shutter function” so I was permitted to shoot but had to stay in the balcony the whole ceremony. Something is better than nothing, right?? 🙂 I was very thankful and I am sure that Sarah and Tom were too! 🙂
3: Tom and Sarah had their reception at Deacon Towers overlooking the Wake Forest University Football field! How cool is that?!
4: Tom and Sarah had a first scoop of ice cream together instead of sharing a first slice of cake together as a married couple! As a lover of ice cream myself, I cursed myself for not thinking of this myself!! Blue Ridge Ice Cream (and former employer of Sarah when she was younger) came out to set up their delicious ice cream stand and guests enjoyed picking their flavors and toppings.
5: There was a FLASH MOB at the reception! How fun!! (And not to mention lots of soul train lines!) 🙂
5: TOM + SARAH!! Tom and Sarah are seriously two of the sweetest, and most gracious people I have ever met! I wish that we were able to spend more time with them than just on their wedding day because they are just the type of people that you want to be around and soak up good energy from! You could tell how much their friends and family positively adore them and it is very obvious why! They, my friends, are the good stuff! The ones we all aspire to be!
Sarah + Tom, it was an absolute PLEASURE working with you both! You were both such a joy to be around and we couldn’t have asked for more amazing people to work with! We wish you both all the joy in the world and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
