There are so many things that I loved about Tracey + Matt’s wedding day! First of all, they now share their wedding anniversary with my parents and considering my parents have been going strong since they were in high school, it must be a lucky day!I was positively in love with the gray and aqua colors of the wedding and they had the MOST AMAZING printed pieces designed for the wedding, everything from invitations, programs, signs for the reception and the most epic wedding party posters you have ever seen!! Matt’s son, Lincoln, was the most stylin’ ring bearer I think I have ever seen and he made Tracey and Matt the most amazing ring “carrier” out of legos in lieu of a ring bearer pillow. Seriously!! It was amazing and so unique!! Lincoln, also rocked the converse sneakers which made him even cooler than he already naturally is! Right after the ceremony started, Tracey + Matt asked their guests to join them in the singing of “Fools Rush In” and I thought it was so cute watching Tracey stand on one side of the altar area with her bridesmaids as she sang across the way to Matt who was over singing with his groomsmen! It was such a fun and unique touch and totally Tracey + Matt! Finally, the most awesome highlight of the night was when Tracey’s dad finished his Father of the Bride toast and then proceeded to rap for the wedding guests a little story about Tracey and Matt’s relationship to the tune of “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”. IT.WAS.EPIC!!!!
The first time I ever met Tracey and Matt we enjoyed trivia night together at Tyler’s Taproom and they were both so laid back and fun that I knew that working on their wedding day would be amazing and I was right! Unfortunately, the rain spoiled some of our plans for pictures and portraits, but Tracey and Matt just took it all in stride and enjoyed their day celebrating with their friends and family. They were married at the beautiful All Saints Chapel in downtown Raleigh, with a heartfelt and personal ceremony conducted by the amazing Reverend Barbara Lodge, and their reception followed at Stockroom at 230. It was our first time shooting at Stockroom and it was such a cool venue to shoot in. We also worked with Mark McNally of Joe Bunn DJs for the first time, who did an amazing job and also rocks an amazing accent! When I met him for the first time that night, I told him right away that Dave would more than likely develop a man crush on him by the end of the night because he is obsessed with Irish accents! We also had the pleasure of hosting our Tara Parker Photography photo booth (AKA The Cacklebox) for Tracey + Matt’s wedding reception! It was so much fund and a big thanks to Teresa Porter for rocking the booth for us once again! Photo booth pictures will be coming up in the next blog post!Enjoy some of our favorites from the big day!
